Repairs

I have many customers who send me items to be repaired. This is one of the best jobs! Nothing too large or too small. Please contact me for details and I will get it sorted for you.

German hackamore needing a rebuild!

Needed a couple inches off stirrup leathers.

Headcollar needing a couple of simple repairs!

Special collar for a special dog! Needed new ends for safety. Nice easy job!

My favorite thing is repairs! This was just an old adjustable collar which had lots of sentimental value to the customer, I couldn't just repair the snapped piece though as it was 20ish years old and a bit frail. I re-made the leather part and used the original brass fittings.

A little rebuild and restitch. 20 years old again and showing its age.
Gave it a quick re-dye, oil and seal.

A customer sent me a vintage Italian leather bag for a restoration and repair. It is over 45 years old and their favourite. It was in a pretty sorry state. Took 10 full days and every stitch by hand. Received a full hot coconut treatment, clean and soap and a heavy wax treatment. Parts were reinforced and a new handle for over shoulder and two new rolled handles added. I decided to tackle the interior which was a " if you can" challenge!
Was a pleasure to do however I will be pleased to see it back with its owner!!

This vintage case came in for a refurb. We stripped it, trimmed and re waxed edges, re-dyed it to a beautiful chocolate colour, made new straps and added smarter buckles, tidied the handle and fully re-stitched by hand.

Replaced the buckle holder and the point strap with a simple splice, totally recovered the padding with new leather and fully stitched the whole collar.

This is a vintage telescope case that was brought to me last week to see if it was possible to repair. I must say when I first looked over it I thought it was pretty done. But with some gentle work and plenty of time it was restored and looked beautiful at the end. The man was very pleased with the result. The stitch holes in the leather was pretty 'nail sick' but with some careful double hand stitching it is once again back in action. Was a pleasure to restore.

Re-stitched and leather was treated. I think it looks lovely!

Had a customer who had a couple of soft leather leads which had been pretty beaten up and needed lots of TLC, After a few hours, they were back to show condition!
